ECOMMERCE WEB DESIGN · SOUTHERN ONTARIO

A store should make the product easy to want and the purchase easy to finish.

Second Coat designs the customer-facing website around your business and uses proven commerce systems underneath it. You keep the store and payment accounts in your name.

THREE DIFFERENT SELLING PROBLEMS

Not every business needs a full online store.

A handful of payments, an established website that needs a shop, and a business that needs the whole site built around ecommerce are different jobs. The pricing section separates them so you do not pay for machinery you do not need.

A few simple payments

Deposits, registrations, gift certificates or a small number of fixed products can often use secure Stripe checkout without adding inventory and store administration.

Add a real shop

If you need products, collections, variants, inventory, a cart and order management, Shopify can power the store while the surrounding site remains custom.

Build the whole site to sell

For a product-led business, the marketing pages, catalogue, product pages, checkout path and post-purchase communication should be planned as one customer journey.

WHAT A COMPLETE STORE COVERS

The storefront, the purchase path and the handoff.

The complete ecommerce package combines a custom business website with a Shopify-powered store. The public pricing section spells out product limits, third-party fees and the features that move a store into custom-commerce territory.

WHAT THE WORK COVERS

  • Custom website plus standard store setup
  • Product and collection structure
  • Product page design and copy polish
  • Cart, secure checkout and payments
  • Shipping and tax settings from your requirements

OWNERSHIP MATTERS

Your store account stays your store account.

The commerce platform, payment account, domain and finished website should not become leverage that keeps you with a designer. Third-party subscriptions are visible and paid directly by you.

Clear costs

Build fees and third-party platform or processing fees are separated so you can see what Second Coat is charging and what Shopify or Stripe is charging.

Clear limits

Product counts, collections and standard functionality are defined up front. Subscriptions, marketplaces, POS and custom product builders are quoted separately.

Clear handoff

Training is part of the store build so you understand the basic order and catalogue workflow after launch.

REAL LOCAL CONTEXT

A local store and a growing online business do not need the same ecommerce machine.

Across Port Dover, Simcoe, Hamilton, Brantford and London, the useful starting question is not which ecommerce platform is fashionable. It is what customers need to buy, how many products exist, how fulfilment works and who will manage the catalogue after launch.

For a service business selling deposits, registrations or gift certificates, a handful of secure Stripe payment paths may be enough. For a retailer carrying variants and inventory, Shopify earns its keep. For a product-led company, the complete site, catalogue and checkout should be designed together.

Second Coat keeps the payment and store accounts in the client's name. That matters for ownership and it makes the third-party costs visible rather than hiding them inside an agency invoice.

QUESTIONS ABOUT ECOMMERCE WEB DESIGN

What people need to know before they call.

Do I need Shopify if I only sell a few things?

Not necessarily. If you have a few fixed products, deposits, registrations or gift certificates and do not need a full cart or inventory system, secure Stripe checkout can be simpler and cheaper to run.

Who owns the Shopify or Stripe account?

You do. The client opens or controls the relevant store and payment account. Platform subscriptions, payment processing and paid apps are separate third-party costs paid directly by the client.

Can you move an existing product catalogue?

Yes, but large migrations are not hidden inside the standard product allowance. The published packages include defined product counts. A larger catalogue, unusual variants or messy legacy data is reviewed and priced before migration work starts.

Can you connect ecommerce to inventory, accounting or another system?

Yes when the other system provides a usable integration path. That work moves into Aaryn's system-integration scope so the connection, error handling and data flow are treated as engineering rather than a quick website add-on.

START WITH WHAT YOU HAVE

Tell us what customers need to buy, not which platform you think you need.

A short description of the products, variants, fulfilment and current website is enough to start. We will tell you whether simple selling, a store add-on or a complete ecommerce build fits.
