SMALL BUSINESS WEB DESIGN · LONDON, ONTARIO

A better website, with a real technical person in London when the job needs one.

Scott leads the design, positioning and customer experience. Aaryn, Second Coat's Principal Engineer, is based in central London and can meet local clients in person when a website project also involves systems, integrations or custom software.

TWO USEFUL TOOLBOXES

The website can be the whole project. It does not have to be.

Some London businesses simply need a clear modern site. Others discover that the expensive problem is behind it: repetitive admin, disconnected software or a workflow that should have been automated years ago.

Website + message

Scott handles the customer-facing work: what the business says, how the pages are structured, what the site looks like and whether the next step is obvious.

Systems + software

Aaryn handles engineering: APIs, integrations, internal tools, backend systems, databases and business automation.

Local technical contact

Aaryn has lived in London since moving there for Western in 2014, apart from a period working in Berlin, and can meet London clients in person when the project benefits from it.

WHAT WE CAN BUILD

Start at the level of the actual problem.

A website project should not turn into custom software by accident, and a systems problem should not be disguised as a website redesign. The first conversation sorts out which kind of work you actually need.

WHAT THE WORK COVERS

  • One-page and multi-page websites
  • Existing-site rebuilds and rescues
  • Ecommerce, booking and local search
  • Workflow automation
  • System and API integrations
  • Internal tools and custom software

WHO THIS FITS

Owner-led businesses that want capable help without a large-agency layer.

Trades, professional firms, service businesses, manufacturers, retailers and growing companies are a good fit when somebody can explain what is not working and wants a named person to own the solution.

Meet when it helps

Aaryn can cover meetings across London, including the downtown core, north and south London, the Western and Masonville areas, Old East Village and surrounding commercial areas.

Work remotely when it is easier

Most design, development and review work can happen without adding meetings for the sake of meetings.

Keep technical ownership clear

If Aaryn leads the engineering work, he is the technical point of contact through requirements, build, deployment and handoff.

REAL LOCAL CONTEXT

London is the one service area with a Second Coat technical lead living in it.

Aaryn moved to London in 2014 to attend Western University and has been based there for roughly twelve years, apart from a period working on site in Berlin. He lives centrally and can meet clients across the city, including downtown, north and south London, the Western and Masonville areas, Old East Village and surrounding commercial areas.

That does not mean every London website project needs engineering. Scott still leads the design, words, structure and customer experience. The local advantage appears when a website conversation exposes a systems problem, because the engineer who can own that work can also sit down with the client and understand the operation in person.

For London businesses, the split is deliberately clear: website work gets web-design scope and pricing; automation, integration and custom software gets engineering scope and pricing. One team can cover both, but the project does not blur the two into one mysterious quote.

QUESTIONS ABOUT LONDON WEB DESIGN

What people need to know before they call.

Who would I meet with in London?

Aaryn is Second Coat's Principal Engineer and London lead. He can meet local clients in person for requirements, technical discovery and projects where understanding the operation directly will improve the solution. Scott leads the customer-facing web design work.

Can I hire Second Coat for only a website in London?

Absolutely. Automation and software are separate services, not something added to every project. If the business simply needs a clearer, more credible website, that is the scope we quote.

What if our website problem is actually a business-process problem?

That is where the London setup is useful. Aaryn can map the workflow, determine whether an automation or integration is sensible and take technical ownership if you choose to proceed. Engineering work has its own published starting prices and scope.

What areas of London can Aaryn realistically cover?

He is based centrally and can reliably attend meetings throughout London, including downtown, north and south London, Western and Masonville, Old East Village and surrounding commercial areas. Nearby meetings outside the city can be arranged in advance.
